About NLTC
Northern Light Theatre Company is the resident Musical Theatre Company at the Shedley Theatre in Elizabeth.
Since its formation in 1965, NLTC has produced many memorable and award-winning productions, including the Adelaide Critics Circle Coopers Award for Excellence for their productions of Copacabana and Jesus Christ Superstar.
NLTC produce two shows every year at the Shedley Theatre.
The Committee
The Committee of Northern Light Theatre Company is made up of nine members - five office bearers and four ordinary members. The committee meets about once a month usually on a Monday night, although they have been known to meet at any time they can get everybody in the same place at the same time when things get busy!
Committee members are elected for two-year terms at the Annual General Meeting which is usually held some time in August each year. To ensure continuity on the committee not all of the positions become vacant each year. Two ordinary committee member positions and either two or three of the office bearers are declared vacant each year.
If you are considering nominating for the committee, you will need to have been a full financial member for at least six months. Watch the News page for notice of the AGM and which positions fall vacant each year!

Departmental Structure
At the AGM on 22/8/04 NLTC established two sets of departments, Company Departments and Show Departments, which are designed to strengthen and improve the company by emphasising different aspects of the company.
Company Departments are in existence throughout the full year and are not associated with any specific show. Company Mangers, who are in charge of the Company Departments, champion the ongoing interests of the different areas of the Company. These people are given the task of developing and improving the assets, procedures and standards for the department for which they have responsibility. They are appointed by and ultimately responsible to the committee.
Show Departments are established for each show and enrich the Company by providing a wide variety of experiences and ideas from the people who volunteer for these departments. The Company Managers act as mentors for those people new to NLTC and can also advise them of the equipment and facilities that the Company has to offer the Show Department. This allows the people in the Show Departments to focus fully on presenting the best show possible.
